Amazon is growing in every market from books to gadgets to streaming movies, but you can beat the system with Amazon Prime Student. When you sign up, you’ll get the first six months free; this includes all of the Prime benefits, the most important one being free two-day shipping. The University of Florida has actually partnered with Uber to provide you another student discount and safety on campus at the same time with Uber Safe Rides. If don’t feel comfortable walking across campus at night, just pull out your Uber App and take advantage half-off rides from 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Uber Safe Rides are only available within campus limits, and the map can be found on their website. This discount is available to eligible students only, and special codes will appear in student portals. If you need to travel outside of campus, your Gator 1 Card earns you free bus rides on the Regional Transit System.
