34th Annual Hoggetowne Medieval Faire
Event Details
January 18-19, 25-26 & January 31-February 2, 2020
Faire hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays & Sundays, and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday (Family Friday discount available at box office only.)
Admission is $19 for adults, $16 for seniors (60+) and military (with valid ID), $9 for children ages 5-17 and free for children 4 and under. Online tickets are valid on any day of the Faire.
The old fairgrounds is transformed into a bustling medieval marketplace for the 34th Annual Hoggetowne Medieval Faire. Come be swept away by medieval magic as troupes of actors, street performers and musicians journey back to the days of yore. Revel in the sights and sounds of one of North Central Florida’s premier events.
Join the crowd and cheer for your favorite contender as mounted knights joust in full plate armor on the tournament field. Applaud street performers who dance, juggle and jest for your amusement. Listen to minstrels playing period music and enjoy continuous live entertainment on nine stages. Browse through the bustling medieval marketplace for that perfect gift or keepsake.
Enjoy this year's theme, "Vikings at the Gate!" Visitors can encounter vikings, fairies, knights and even a dragon! Watch as the leaders of the realms stand against a mischievous band of Vikings during the living chess match, a life-size game of chess in which medieval heroes show off their swordsmanship and battle the forces of evil. Test your own skills in games of chance, strength and skill. Watch and learn as more than 160 artisans demonstrate their skills in blacksmithing, weaving, leatherworking, woodcarving, pottery and much more. Indulge in a feast fit for a king in our food court, where you can find sweet potato fries, blooming onions and our famous giant turkey legs.
The Faire is the perfect place to bring even the youngest members of the kingdom. Children delight in visiting the royal pavilion, where they will become lords and ladies of the court of Hoggetowne while human-powered push rides provide a thrill of authentic medieval fun. Indulge not only your children, but also yourself, with rides on a camel, pony or warhorse.
