2017 has felt like a whirlwind. We've barely recovered from Hurricane Irma and now it’s time to put up the Christmas tree! The year 2017 is coming to a close, and 2018 is upon us. Whether you want to celebrate leaving this year in the past or celebrate the fond memories you had this past year, there is always a reason to celebrate the change that a new year can bring. As you ring in the New Year be sure to check out one of these New Year's Eve in Gainesville events to celebrate!
Cypress & Grove Brewing Company will have a New Year's Eve party at their brewery. The company has a lot to celebrate for 2017 since they opened just this year. They will open on December 31st at 4 p.m. and stay open until 1 a.m. The party will feature live music from The Moist Pocket, The Vowls, The Funky Miracle, The Washburn Brothers, and Headstash. There will also be art and food trucks so you don’t have to enter the new year on an empty stomach. The party will be kid-friendly and they'll be tents set up to entertain the little ones. So don’t worry about finding a babysitter and have fun this New Year!
The Gainesville Black Professionals will be hosting a New Years Eve party at the Twisted Peacock! Per usual, The Twisted Peacock will have an excellent spread of food to serve. There will be a buffet and drink specials. There will also be a surprise when the clock strikes midnight! The event will start at 9 p.m. Tickets for the party range from $15-$25. You will need to buy tickets in advance.
You can rock into the New Year at the Gainesville Downtown Countdown! Held at the Bo Diddley Plaza in the center of downtown, the party will run 9 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. There will be live music performances from Savants of Souls and The Duppies. The downtown countdown is free and a great way to dance into 2018.
