Tibby's is truly a New Orleans kitchen with it's colorful, funky decor and delicious Creole food, which is served surprisingly quickly!
Pros: Beautiful decor, great atmosphere, delicious and authentic food, quick and friendly service
Cons: Too far from where I live!
My husband and I have stayed at Sweetwater Branch Inn two times in the past three years, and we absolutely love it! The Victorian houses and cottages are so charming, and the breakfasts are simply delicious. The staff is also friendly and helpful. Plus, it's just outside downtown where all the restaurants and shops are. Needless to say, we'll be back again next time we're in Gainesville!

Datz is definitely the place to go if you want to splurge or try a crazy-good creation like the Cheesy Todd Burger (a burger sandwiched between two MACARONI AND CHEESE "buns"). I would describe the atmosphere as "fine-dining casual," and the service has always been top-notch every time I've been to Datz. Favorite dishes: Buffalo Cauliflower and MacDill Dog
